Cleaning up most household spills.
When removing accidental spills, the quicker you get to it the better chance you have of getting it up. The longer the spill stays in contact with your carpet, the more it will penetrate the fibers.
For most household accidents, follow these spot removal steps:
Remove any solid material then blot (don't rub) the area with a white towel to absorb as much of the liquid as possible.
Use Floor Medic's free Spot Out or a mixture of 1/4 teaspoon dawn and a cup of water. Put this directly on the spill and allow a few minutes for it to work.
Using a clean white towel, again blot this spot. You my have to repeat the process. Once the spot is gone, use another clean white towel to absorb any remaining moisture
